From: New Voice Of Ukraine πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ Danish premier Mette Frederiksen has been ready to transfer Danish F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine from the very start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the prime minister said at the GLOBSEC conference in Prague, Czechia, on Aug. 31.

“I regret that the delivery of F-16s has taken so much time,” she explained.

“I personally was ready to give them to Ukraine from the very start of the war. But there were long discussions about whether this was the right decision or not.”

Frederiksen did not specify who in particular was responsible for the delivery delays, but asserted that her country still faces the task of ensuring all necessary Western arms reach Ukraine.

“Victory is impossible without arms,” she stated.

“And the only path to victory is to give Ukrainians what they need.”

Frederiksen confirmed that Denmark has not set any restrictions on weapons use by Ukraine – jets included.

“We are not setting any restrictions on the use of F-16s – only that they must be used in accordance with international law,” she said.
