Be exalted, O Lord, in your strength!
We will sing and praise your power.
Psalm 21:13
Do you know what never stops amazing me? How great our God is.
Our world is full of pain, suffering, and anxiety. Often, they hover over us, overwhelming us and convincing us that they are too big to overcome. However, our God is bigger. He is bigger than any evil we may be fafaceuse He is God, and anything (or anyone) else is not.
Over the past couple of weeks, God has been showing that He cares about Ukraine, about school, and about how we are not too small or insignificant for Him. Just today I received messages from two people that I don’t talk to very often. They both felt like sharing a word of encouragement, and they made my day. If God cares about me enough to stir a heart thousands of miles away to give me a word of encouragement, then how much more must He care about Ukraine, or about the world?
They bombed Kharkiv again. A sports center, a shopping mall, supermarkets, and residential buildings.
They bombed Sumy again. They hit the center of children’s social and psychological rehabilitation of children’s orphanage.
They bombed grain carriers in the Sumy region and claimed to have destroyed a military motorcade.
In all this news, I will keep reminding myself that God is bigger than any circumstances. In Kharkiv, they created a giant writing on the floor of a parking lot of a home and construction hypermarket that was bombed several months ago. “God saves our souls – ‘Patriots’ save our lives.” What a great reminder!
