From: Maia Mikhaluk in Kyiv (929th day) —This video is a heart-breaking reminder that even though my count today reached 929 days – this is not the full count of days of the war, it’s only a count from a stage in the war that we call “big invasion” – when ruzzian bombs fell on cities in Ukraine everywhere, east, west, north, south, center; when ruzzian troops tried to march across the whole border, bragging that they would take Kyiv in 3 days.
But this war started in 2014, more than 10 years ago with the annexation of Crimea, followed by an invasion in the East of Ukraine. In those days, putin kept lying with a smug face that there were no ruzzian troops in Ukraine though everybody knew the truth. His blatant lie let the world do nothing in response to the violation of international laws, hoping that the maniac’s appetite would be satisfied quickly and business as usual with ruzzia would not have to be interrupted. But as we have a saying in our language, “the appetite grows while you are eating,” and that’s what we have seen over 10 years.
Ten years of war… Some of the men on the front lines were 10-year-old boys when all this madness started.
