From: Maia Mikhaluk in Kyiv (934th day) — These photos are from Facebook’s memory of 4 years ago. It was in the middle of the pandemic year. We thought there was a lot of uncertainty in our lives then – the world was mostly on lockdown. The level of uncertainty that we have been experiencing now for more than 2,5 years is immeasurably higher. This FB memory reminds me that we visited a flower farm on this day four years ago. It was a beautiful day filled with gorgeous flowers, so inspiring. Looking through the photos brings back warm memories.

I was thinking about what to post about today and was trying to decide between the news that has been widely discussed in our media the last couple of days – whether the USA and UK finally have agreed to let Ukraine use Western weapons to destroy military targets in ruzzian territory (targets like military airfields and places where they store missiles) and another news that ruzzians moved into the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea 21 military ships, 11 of those potentially carry 72 ballistic missiles. Between those two pieces of news, it sounds like it would be an excellent time for Ukraine to use Western weapons against those military ships before they shower a barrage of missiles on our cities again. Those 21 military ships are totally fair military targets.
My FB memories of beautiful flowers starkly contrast today’s reality and concerns.
