In an interview with Radio NV, Oleksandr Motyl, a political science professor at Rutgers University and expert on Ukraine and Russia, discussed whether President Joe Biden would risk supporting Volodymyr Zelenskyyโ€™s victory plan in the final months of his presidency on Sept. 25.

“Biden is known for his slow responses to various issues, having faced criticism from both Ukrainians and Americans for providing weapons and ammunition too late,” Motyl said on Radio NV. “Given this established aspect of his character, itโ€™s unlikely he will dramatically change his approach.”

Motyl noted that Biden, who has been criticized for a lack of urgency, might realize that now is the time to make significant decisions that he can pass on to his successor, Vice President Harris.

“It would be historically beneficial for him to make bold, important choices in his final months in office, especially knowing that while Harris may have better chances than he does, itโ€™s not guaranteed she will win.
