From: Ira Kapitonova (Day 948)
As your name, O God, so your praise reaches to the ends of the earth. Your right hand is filled with righteousness.
Psalm 48:10
God’s sovereignty has been on my mind lately. There are so many things we can’t change – the day of our birth, the family we are born into, the change of seasons, or the weather on any given day. We may get upset over it, but we can do nothing to change it.
In our daily lives, many things happen as the direct consequences of the choices we make. However, a lot of times, we cannot change our circumstances. War is one of them. We can get angry and frustrated over it, but it’s not in our power to stop it.
A lot of times, our attitudes and values are the only thing we can choose. It might not make a significant change on a grand scale, but it will definitely determine how we live. In moments like that, I remind myself about God’s sovereignty – when things don’t make sense to me, He is still in full control.
Thank you for consciously choosing to stand with Ukraine and pray for our nation.
