Attend to me, and answer me;
I am restless in my complaint and I moan,
because of the noise of the enemy,
because of the oppression of the wicked.
Psalm 55:2-3
It’s the second air raid of the night, and I hear distant explosions. Everyone else is asleep, and I’m here wondering about oh so many things.
My thoughts are too raw to put into words, but thankfully I have psalms:
Cast your burden on the Lord,
and he will sustain you;
he will never permit the righteous to be moved.
But you, O God, will cast them down into the pit of destruction;
men of blood and treachery shall not live out half their days.
But I will trust in you.
Psalm 55:22-23
