It’s Teachers Day in Ukraine this weekend.
As a result of hostilities in Ukraine, 3,800 educational institutions (schools, kindergartens, universities) have been damaged. Three hundred sixty-five of these facilities were completely destroyed. This is 13% of all educational institutions in Ukraine. Almost 900,000 Ukrainian children study remotely because of daily threats. It is one more war we are fighting.
It’s the night before Monday. Traditionally, there’s an air raid. Our “neighbors” make sure we start the workweek right. It looks like the drones have been shot down, but there were reports of missile carriers in the Black Sea. We’ll see what the morning brings.
