Oleksandr Musiyenko, head of the Center for Military-Legal Studies, discussed the coordinated executions of Ukrainian POWs by Russian forces and the only way to stop them in an interview with Radio NV on Oct. 13.
Musiyenko analyzed whether the Russians are ordered to execute prisoners or if it is their own initiative.
Unfortunately, we have to acknowledge that they may have such orders and instructions,” Musiyenko said.
βAnd, unfortunately, this happens on various sections of the front, which indicates certain coordinated and agreed actions. Of course, written orders are unlikely to be found. But verbal instructions, I am practically convinced, can exist. This corresponds to the nature and character of the war that Russia is waging against Ukraine.β
He believes there is only one way to counter this:
“The only way to fight this is as shown by the 95th Polissia Air Assault Brigade: they simply destroyed the enemy, destroyed these scoundrels of the 155th Marine Brigadeβso-called marine infantry, because they are already recruiting unclear individuals for the fourth or fifth time,” Musiyenko said.
