From: Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 963)
But those who seek to destroy my life
shall go down into the depths of the earth;
they shall be given over to the power of the sword;
they shall be a portion for jackals.
Psalm 63:9-10
A couple of days ago, my son was telling me about his plans for the future. It included getting a job at the age of fourteen, buying a motorcycle, saving money to buy his car, building a house… He also asked me at what age he could join the military because he said he wanted to know what it’s like for our soldiers. During our conversation, I kept quietly praying for the war to end by the time my son was old enough to fight.
Many people in the West (both politicians and average civilians) are worried about providing too much aid to Ukraine. They keep saying that they don’t want their country to cross the “red line” because they don’t want World War III to break out. Well, it’s not a concern for Russia and its allies. According to several sources, North Korea is ready to send its soldiers to fight in Ukraine, and thousands of them are already in training in Russia. In fact, some say that several groups are already in the combat zone as they are gaining experience. It’s not a surprise as North Korea supplies up to 70% of Russia’s imported ammunition. I’m sure Russia has promised something in return, especially since tonight North Korean front-line army units were ordered to be ready to launch strikes on South Korea.
China and India are the major suppliers of high technologies to Russia. Many of the missile parts require the elements that are on the sanction list of the Western countries, yet they somehow manage to get that technological equipment.
With wars and conflicts breaking up and down the globe, do you really think you can “stay out of it”? Do you really think that being idle and not helping us to fight the aggressor will help create a safer world for you? Can’t you see that evil is much bolder in its decisions, so it must be stopped before it spreads too far?
