Up until October 2022, this space housed the iconic Centaur, a restaurant run by renowned restaurateur Vardkes Arzumanyan, owner of Restaron. His company includes other popular Lviv spots like Babo Gardens, Mons Pius, Parajanov, and Portwein. After nearly two years of renovations, Centaur reemerged in July with a new name — Cent Aura — while keeping its legacy intact.
This isn’t the first reincarnation for this legendary spot, which boasts a 175-year history. Back in 1848, where a former bookbinding shop once stood, the first wine tavern, Centaur, opened its doors. It welcomed guests until World War II. During Soviet times, it became a café-bar known as Na Rynku, though locals still referred to it as Centaur.
