From: Ukraine.ua — Today, countless photos show damage caused by the Russian missile attack on Ukrainian cities. However, it is not the only facet of the modern hybrid aggression.
On the morning of 20 December, Ukraine faced one of the largest cyberattacks on its state registers in recent times. The attack temporarily disrupted the Unified and State Registers, which are managed by the Ministry of Justice.
Specialists are already working to neutralise the threat and restore the systems, though it may take up to two weeks. Initial signs point to Russian involvement, with the aim of disrupting Ukraine’s critical infrastructure.
‘The aggressor is using the situation to fuel fear and confusion among Ukrainian citizens and abroad’, commented Olga Stefanishyna, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine.
