From: Maia Mikhaluk in Kyiv (1034th day)
Yesterday, during our Sunday service we had a presentation of paintings based on Biblical stories. This art was created by Natasha Schuplyak . She is someone special in our lives – she was Sasha’s favorite teacher in school (see the first photo in this post from those days) and has inspired Sasha’s love for art but also impacted Sasha’s spiritual growth. At the beginning of ruzzian invasion, Natasha lived in the suburbs of Kyiv that got occupied by ruzzians. She had to walk out of occupation and for a while, there was no contact with her. Our church prayed hard for her safety, and maybe some of you and your friends also prayed for her.
Yesterday Natalia showed us her paintings and explained her creations’ symbolism and heart. I was also reminded of a project Natalia and Mykyta did a few years ago – Mykyta created a Christmas video based on Natalia’s paintings.
I am grateful for the talented people around us, like Natalia, Mykyta, Sasha, Oksana (my sister-in-law), and so many more! Wanting to create is the most natural part of humans – it’s a part of our original design! But then there are ruzzian aggressors who come to our land to kill, steal and destroy – nothing natural about that. “Great ruzzian culture” is nothing but a great illusion.
One response to “12/24/2024 — “Great ruzzian culture” is nothing but a great illusion.”
Praise God for granting such talent to people like Natalia and keeping her safe enough to show her art!
