From: Euromaiden Press — “Dictators have to be defeated or they never stop.”
These aren’t just words for Jack Lopresti. The former UK Conservative MP has just joined Ukraine’s International Legion, trading his parliamentary seat for a role in Kyiv’s diplomatic efforts and weapons procurement.
At 55, with military experience in Afghanistan, Lopresti is now traveling across Ukraine, including recent visits to Kharkiv and Poltava. His work focuses on weapons procurement and coordination with veterans and charities.
“With the authoritarian axis of dictatorships – China, Iran and North Korea – on the march and clearly working together, Ukraine must be supported and given the tools to win for all our sakes.”
Volunteers from over 70 countries have joined Ukraine’s defense efforts since February 2022. The Azov Brigade now specifically recruits English-speaking soldiers with military experience.
