Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy plans to propose a territorial exchange with Russia if U.S. President Donald Trump brings Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table, he said in an interview with The Guardian on Feb. 11.
“We will exchange one territory for another,” the president said.
He added that Ukraine has not yet decided which part of the Russian-occupied territories it would seek in return.
“I don’t know, we’ll see. But all our territories are important; there’s no priority,” Zelenskyy said.
Feb. 6 marked six months since Ukraine’s Armed Forces began operations in Russia’s Kursk Oblast. Zelenskyy emphasized the region’s significance for Russia in future negotiations.
