2/15/2025 — That was impressive “hardball” negotiations – just give putin everything at the expense of Ukraine!

From: Maia Mikhaluk in Kyiv (1087th day)

Ukrainians have been “impressed” with Trump’s notorious deal-making mastery! This strong leader of a powerful country picks up the phone and calls putin to tell him that this terrorist and war criminal can have everything he asks for: Ukrainian territories that had been already occupied by leveling cities and villages to the ground and killing thousands of Ukrainians, a guarantee that Ukraine will never be a NATO member and return to business as usual (visiting each other’s countries, bringing ruzzia back to G7, lifting sanctions, etc) – in other words, reward the aggressor and give him time and opportunity to restore economy and army that are in shambles so he could come back and take the rest of Ukraine a few years later. That was impressive “hardball” negotiations – just give putin everything at the expense of Ukraine! American officials keep reminding us that negotiations are about give and take. And what will putin give? Probably a compliment to Trump. Maybe more than a compliment?

Today US Vice President JD Vance must have been tasked to balance Trump’s and Hagseth’s statements that so obviously catered to putin’s interests even before negotiations started. Vance has warned that the US could impose sanctions and possibly take military action if putin refuses to negotiate a peace deal with Kyiv that guarantees Ukraine’s long-term independence. Why would putin refuse to negotiate if he is going to get everything he wants? He won’t refuse! But does it sounds like Vance thinks that it’s putin who will guarantee the long-term independence of Ukraine? How is putin going to do that? By signing some kind of agreement? An agreement that will become useless as soon as putin is ready for next phase of war? Sounds worse even than Budapest memorandum!

The last few days we read Trump’s comments how well his negotiations with terrorist putin are going and how putin wants peace and to stop senseless killings. It must be out of that desire of peace ruzzia continues attacking us with 100+ drones every night (131 last night) and it was a peace gesture to bomb Chernobyl nuclear power station last night and to damage shelter structure that covers the reactor damaged in 1986.
