3/5/2025 — ruzzia is grateful and appreciative…

From: Maia Mikhaluk in Kyiv (1105th day)

Ukraine continues to be “ungrateful” and uncooperative (refusing to sign triple “reparations” deal with the USA without security guarantees) and ruzzia is grateful and appreciative. Putin communicates his approval through the mouth of his spokesperson – see screenshot. Of course, it’s not only about Ukraine, it’s about the treatment of all allies of the USA. Do you find that statement flattering?

This morning we were not surprised to learn that Trump stopped military aid to Ukraine and is going to lift sanctions off ruzzia. It should have come as a shock, but we had some time to get used to its inevitability. Republicans did Trump’s bidding, blocking military aid in the fall of 2023 for 7 months, and it was a preview of what was to come. Listening to what Trump was saying about putin and Ukraine for years left no place for suspense. The last two weeks have unfolded as a relatively predictable plot that brought us to today’s news of cutting military aid to Ukraine. If someone thinks that it’s a consequence of Zelensky not wearing a “costume” 🙂 or not falling to his knees in gratitude or remorse, let’s remember the early episodes of this drama:

On Feb 11th Trump said that he doesn’t care if Ukraine become ruzzia or not become ruzzia he just wants to be compensated 500 billion for free aid that was given to Ukraine by Biden (175 billion as shown by FoxNews today, not 350 that Trump keeps repeating). Then on Feb 12th there was a visit to Kyiv by Treasury Secretary with “elegant” agreement under which Ukraine would pay 50% of proceeds from rare minerals to the USA in perpetuity (forever). Outraged by Zelensky’s refusal a new version of “deal” demanded 100% of proceeds! Meanwhile Trump pronounced Zelensky a dictator and Ukraine – initiator of war and not worthy to be a part of peace negotiations.

At the same time team of USA officials contine their meetings and discussions of “peace” with ruzzian terrorists. Negotiations were “going well” as long as ruzzia was going to get everything they wanted. We heard announcements that ruzzians would keep the our land they occupied, Ukraine would have elections amidst the war, Ukraine would not join NATO and not get any security guarantees, and who knows what else ruzzians demanded (probably complete demilitarization of Ukraine, ruzzian language as a state language, etc). The problem was the negotiators couldn’t get anything in return. Trump has no leverage on putin, he can’t make him cease fire on any even remotely reasonable conditions – other than deliver complete capitulation of Ukraine. On the other hand, stubborn Ukrainians also don’t want to capitulate and keep asking for security guarantees if we make any concessions.

So first, someone must get blamed for failing to end war in 24 hours. That would be Zelensky after set up at the press conference.

Second, the Nobel Peace prize is not going to win itself! Peace has to be reached – even if it’s unjust and not lasting. Ukrainians always said peace could be reached in two ways: ruzzians get out of our land or Ukraine stops existing. The great negotiator chose the easier way – at least he has some “cards” – he can cut off military aid to Ukraine and effectively hold the victim down while the rapist finishes the job. The dead victim stops kicking and screaming and beautiful peace comes!

US Representative Darrell Issa already jumped to nominate Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. I would support that nomination if Trump is nominated together with putin. That would be a perfect proof that we live in an Orwellian world:
Genocide is peace
Slavery is freedom
Ignorance is strength.

Ruzzian propaganda has started a full scale invasion of the USA. In the next few weeks you will hear that Ukraine is not a real country, Ukrainian language is a dialect of ruzzian, ruzzian-speaking Ukrainians want putin to take over Ukraine, there are bio labs in Ukraine, Revolution of Dignity was a coup financed by Democrats, Ukraine is the most corrupt country in the world, and a lot of other misinformation.

Recently Wall Street Journal published a poll that showed that 69% of Republican voters say that ruzzia is the aggressor and 83% disapprove of putin. We pray for all those people not to fall as casualties of ruzzia’s informational war. I am afraid a few weeks from now the % will be different, because disinformation is something ruzzians are really good at.

Trump has cut military aid and said we wouldn’t last 2 weeks without it. That’s generous. Putin was going to finish us in 3 days. No question, – we have some dark days ahead. But what’s new?

Psalm 23
A psalm of David.
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.
