History Claps Back:
Eastern Europeans would like to point to history and encourage you to think of Russia as the neighborhood:
- repeat offender
- looter at the local pharmacy and iPhone store.
- wife beater that blames the wife for his violence towards her and the kids.
- rapist that says, “the victim provoked the attack.”
- thief that says, “you should have locked your stuff up better”
- cheat -that takes steroids while calling all the clean athletes stupid for following the rules.
-murderer that says it’s the fault of the police who want to arrest him.
-corrupt official who mocks democracy saying it is for the weak and naive.
-911 pilot that seeks to steal, kill and destroy for a diseased view of the self and its place in the world.
And to think of recent U.S. foreign policy as the judge that lets Russia off while throwing their victims in jail.
What is the victim guilty of?
For exhausting the U.S. patience and being engaged in an inconvenient “forever war” or to put it another way, “for resisting the aggressor, fighting for their lives and property and wanting to be free.”
All the while, the situation was created because the U.S. took away Ukraine’s right to defend itself with nukes and left them with an empty promise of the U.S. to protect it and not coerce it.
