Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has ordered the formation of a delegation to engage with international partners in organizing a negotiation process aimed at achieving a just peace, according to an official decree published on March 15.
The delegation will be led by Andriy Yermak, head of the Presidential Office, and will also include:
Andriy Sybiha, Minister of Foreign Affairs
Rustem Umerov, Minister of Defense
Pavlo Palisa, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office
Zelenskyy granted Yermak the authority to modify the delegation’s composition with approval from the foreign minister and to involve government officials, academic advisors, and experts as needed.
Ukraine sets conditions for peace talks
On March 13, Igor Zhovkva, deputy head of the Presidential Office, stated that Zelenskyy would personally decide on Ukraine’s negotiation team, but discussions could only take place after Russian dictator Vladimir Putin presents a clear position on the matter.
