Kryvyi Rih in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk Oblast declared three days of mourning after deadly Russian missile strikes, local official Oleksandr Vilkul said on April 4.
Kryvyi Rih has declared three days of mourning — April 7, 8, and 9 — after deadly Russian strikes killed nearly 20 people, including several children.
“Children, families, the elderly. Ballistic and drone strikes on residential areas and playgrounds. This is nothing less than mass murder of civilians,” local official Oleksandr Vilkul said.
According to Ukrainian officials, 18 people, including nine children, were killed in a Russian ballistic missile strike on the city the evening of April 4. Another 61 people were wounded, including a 3-month-old baby.
Forty victims remain hospitalized.
Russian forces attacked Kryvyi Rih again overnight on April 5 with Shahed drones, killing one woman and injuring seven others, authorities said.
