He who looked defeated is victorious.
The one who “made a mistake” of becoming vulnerable to death took away its sting.
His enemies found a boulder to seal his grave, but it was crushed by His resurrection.
Christ’s victory in His resurrection gives hope to the hopeless and humiliates the powerful. The Roman Empire fell, those who executed Christ are gone, and no memory is left of them. But Jesus is alive today, and by His power, we live.
If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. (Romans 8:11)
