Merz also told UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer that he would see him in London, and Polish PM Donald Tusk that they’d meet again on the train.
Yesterday in Kyiv, the leaders of France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Poland agreed that a 30-day unconditional ceasefire should begin on May 12. If russia refuses, tougher sanctions will be imposed.
The leaders also emphasized support for the Ukrainian army as the key guarantor of the country’s security, alongside the deployment of international security guarantees.
During the meeting, the four European leaders also held a joint call with U.S. President Donald Trump.
