From: Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 1173)
Have mercy upon us,
O Lord, have mercy upon us,
for we have had more than enough of contempt.
Psalm 123:3
It’s Mother’s Day.
I won’t use many words even though books can be written about what it means to be a mom in Ukraine. Today, my heart is with all the mothers who won’t receive greetings today because their children have been taken away by the war. My heart is with all the mothers whose sons and daughters defend us at the frontline. My heart is with all the children who lost their mothers because of the war.
Every day is a remembrance day in Ukraine.
