Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, heir to the Norwegian throne, visited Ukraine on May 20 and shared his impressions of the trip.
During his visit, Crown Prince Haakon met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, visited wounded Ukrainian soldiers, and traveled to the village of Moshchun — the site of fierce battles for Kyiv in 2022.
According to Norway’s NRK media outlet, Haakon said he had seen films and read about the brutality of Russia’s war against Ukraine, but being on the actual site of the battles was a different experience entirely.
