On the night of May 25, starting around 8:40 p.m. on May 24, Russian forces launched a combined aerial assault against Ukraine using 367 airstrike weapons, Ukraine’s Air Force reported.
Russia fired the following weapons:
- Nine Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from Russia’s Kursk Oblast;
- 55 air- and sea-launched Kh-101 and Kalibr cruise missiles from Tu-95 and Tu-160 strategic bombers over Saratov Oblast and the Black Sea;
- One Kh-22 cruise missile from a Tu-22M3 bomber flying over the Black Sea;
- Four guided Kh-59/69 air-to-surface missiles launched from tactical aircraft flying from the north;
- 298 strike UAVs, mostly Shaheds and decoy drones of various types, launched from Bryansk, Millerovo, Kursk, Oryol, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia.
