A new FRES CO factory producing metal binding coils and printing hardware has opened in the KIT Industrial Park in Bucha, Kyiv Oblast, which officially launched on June 6, Ukrainian MP Dmytro Kysylevskyi announced that day.
“The plant’s capacity is 2,000 reels per month, enough to meet 40% of Ukraine’s domestic market demand,” said Kysylevskyi, Deputy Chair of the Verkhovna Rada’s Economic Policy Committee. “The investment in the new facility totals UAH 8 million (about $200,000). The project’s investor, Valerii Kiryeyev, previously imported this type of product but has now opted to begin local production.”
FRES CO has also begun producing grommets—metal eyelets used in printing—with the goal of fully meeting domestic demand and launching exports to the EU.
“By the end of 2025, the company plans to begin manufacturing staples for use in stationery, printing, construction, and furniture industries,” Kysylevskyi said. “To support this, the enterprise will utilize legislation that allows duty- and VAT-free imports of equipment into industrial parks.”
