Russian dictator Vladimir Putin askedU.S. President Donald Trump for 60 days to finish off Ukraine from the air and bite off as much territory as possible. Trump thought about it and, in principle, agreed—he gave Putin 50 days for the job.

He only promised Ukraine some Patriot air defense systems. As for the 50 days of destruction and looting of Ukraine—that clearly contradicts U.S. interests. And no, I’m not talking about international law, democracy, and justice. All that has long been discarded. I’m talking about the direct interests of the United States, made manifest when Washington forced Ukraine to sign the so-called “minerals deal.” Putin and Russia are striving for resources that will make his military dictatorship—ruled by the same person for a quarter of a century now—even stronger in military terms.

What’s on Moscow’s mind?

Russia is trying to capture not only all of Ukraine’s key deposits of natural resources, including gas, lithium, and coal. Moscow has seized the largest nuclear power plant on the continent, Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), and is extracting manganese, iron ore, and titanium in the occupied Ukrainian territories. Russia is attempting to seize and incorporate into its militarized economy the most industrialized regions of Ukraine. This suggests that the Russian Federation, with support from China and its satellites—North Korea and Iran—is preparing for a major war with the West. By the way, North Korean soldiers are already fighting against Ukrainians. On the map of the “axis of evil,” Ukraine is seen as a “donor territory” meant to fuel the economies of Russia and its partners in reformatting the world—with raw materials, electricity, and food. The huge Russian, Chinese, and North Korean armies need to be well-fed so they can move quickly from one European city to another. These dictatorships also need people who will accept what Russians call the “new realities.” More precisely, they don’t need people at all. They need obedient cattle that can be dressed in uniform and driven to slaughter.
