From: New Voice of Ukraine — The director of Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau said he supports President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s proposal to have the SBU vet law enforcement officers for possible ties to Russia on July 26.

The director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), Semen Kryvonos, said that the bureau is prepared to undergo inspections by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) to determine any possible influence by Russia, following the enactment of a controversial new law.

“According to the second point, within six months after the law comes into force, [the SBU must] conduct an inspection of the possible influence of the aggressor country and its connections. This applies not only to NABU, but to all law enforcement agencies. We are okay with this. We will conduct all these inspections and close this issue in six months, present the results and move on,” Kryvonos said.
