8/1/2025 “O God, save me by your name, and vindicate me by your might.”

From: from: Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 1254)

O God, save me by your name,
and vindicate me by your might.
Psalm 54:1

It was a hard night for Kyiv. Almost all the drones launched at Ukraine targeted Kyiv as swarms encircled the city and attacked at the same time. After the drones came missiles.

We were not in the city, so we avoided this night of terror, but it’s still hard to see your city wounded and to know that so many of our friends stayed up listening to the explosions. Five missiles and 21 drones (more than 300 were launched) caused much damage. A missile destroyed a whole section of a 9-storey apartment building. Throughout the city, there were blown-out windows, shattered glass, and burning cars. As of now, 16 people are reported killed (including two children, 6 and 17 years old). Over 150 people received injuries.

Once again, the massive attack was carried out after the US officials gave public comments on the war in Ukraine. This spit in the face of the civilized world has become a sad tradition for Kyiv, yet we will not give up.
