From: Maia Mikhaluk in Kyiv (1284th day)
The war rages on. Last night our terrorist neighbor sent 582 drones and missiles against us. Trump’s ultimatums come and go. Allies posture and justify. Death and destruction remain daily realities.
But today — today my heart is overwhelmed not by fear, but by gratitude. There are moments when you look at the darkness of circumstances, and then you look at the immeasurable light of God’s love, grace, and presence — and suddenly the missiles and drones feel so small, so powerless.
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
His mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is Your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22–23)
Even in the shadow of war, I feel His touch, His gifts, His generosity. I am undone by His kindness. Overwhelmed with gratitude. Speechless before His faithfulness.
God is good! He is faithful. He is more than enough. No matter how fierce the night, His mercies always greet us in the morning.
