9/16/2025 — Morning by morning I will destroy all the wicked in the land…

From: Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 1300)

Morning by morning I will destroy all the wicked in the land,
cutting off all the evildoers from the city of the Lord.
Psalm 101:8

Last Saturday, we had a mom’s meeting at school. As we shared our struggles and encouraged each other to take after the tree planted by the waters, we realized that most of us never mentioned the war as one of our challenges. We talked about prioritizing important things, meal planning, fitting some personal spiritual growth time into daily routine, and then someone said, “But let’s remember that a lot of times we have no control over how we spend our nights.” I realized that it had become such an integral part of our current “normal” that I never even thought it was worth mentioning. I like that it is not paralyzing, but I also hate that it’s become so common that I overlooked it.

Yet our world is filled with beauty and joy, and it’s a glimpse of God’s triumph.
We stopped to get coffee and a pastry at a local coffee shop run by a Christian family and were surprised with a small flower arrangement as a gift.

Love prevails, so we wait for God’s ultimate victory, especially as the world seems to become less safe with every passing day.
