Save us, we pray, O Lord!
O Lord, we pray, give us success!
Psalm 118:25
Last night brought another vicious attack. They launched 381 drones and 35 missiles of different kinds. They were targeting natural gas storage facilities and energy infrastructure. The Kharkiv and Poltava regions were hit the most. Our air defense took down 303 drones and 17 missiles, but it’s not enough.
A recent article says that the russians have modified their missiles so they are a challenging target now even for the Patriots. I don’t know if this is the case, but I do know that many of the hit locations didn’t have a Patriot nearby because we don’t have enough of them.
One of the locations hit by nearly 20 drones is a farm in the Kharkiv region. Eight of ten barns were completely destroyed, killing 13,000 pigs! This is insane! The production cost of one drone is said to be about $35,000 which means russia spent about $700,000 to kill pigs and destroy a farm! That’s when at least 10% of its own population lives below the poverty line.
And they don’t stop there. Starting this month, the occupational forces will increase persecution of the Ukrainian families who want their kids to study online in Ukrainian schools. Such families will be reported, fined, and, quite possibly, their kids will be removed from their care.
The more I think, the more I am convinced that if I lived in a different time and read my own reports, I would argue that all of this was too evil to be true and I was making things up. Unfortunately, we don’t even know the whole horrible ugliness that takes place in the occupied territories. And I cannot even think about families torn apart because of the occupation.
Meanwhile, the number of cities consumed by blackouts keeps increasing.
