From: Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 1323)
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Psalm 23:4
Rainy days with little sunshine make it hard to feel energetic and hopeful. Especially because I realize that it’s going to be a long and hard season until spring brings hope again.
The Institute for the Study of War warns that russia is actively setting the informational and psychological background in preparation for a possible NATO-russia war in the future. Several false-flag operations may be underway in different parts of Europe to spread fear and disunity. While there are no direct indicators of the imminence of a wider war, russian building up military bases on the border with Finland tells you a lot about their intentions.
Meanwhile, recent polls suggest an improvement in public support for Ukraine in the US. 67% of voters say the Trump administration should continue to provide weapons to Ukraine and impose further economic sanctions on Russia (+2). 69% of voters say Ukraine should receive direct security guarantees from the U.S. if it makes concessions to end the war (+4). More details are available in the August Harvard CAPS/Harris poll survey.
I want to thank everyone who advocates for Ukraine and raises our support. I know that our victory is in the hands of the Lord (and not human rulers), but it’s encouraging to see support.
