Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord,
who walks in his ways!
Psalm 128:1
On Friday night, our apartment building got electricity after 16 hours of a power outage. It wasn’t too bad considering that the strike took out 80% of Kyiv’s power grid. Thankfully, we haven’t had a blackout since, but the attacks continue.
Meanwhile, Estonia closed a couple of border control points because unidentified men in military uniforms were spotted close to the border (the “men in green uniforms” without identification were the ones behind the Crimea occupation). There were reports of military vehicles without clear markings moving across russian regions in that direction.
Poland reports unusual GPS defects over the Baltic Sea.
russia is rebuilding military warehouses and the roads leading to the Estonian and Latvian borders. It may look like a diversion, but it looks like preparation to me.
Cuba turned into yet another source of russian mercenaries. Up to 5,000 Cubans may be fighting in Ukraine, ready to kill and be killed for a promise of $2,000. They must be unaware that they are intended to become cannon fodder, and since their status is illegal, no payments will be necessary.
Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania develop evacuation plans as up to 1 million people will need to be displaced in case of a russian invasion. Oh, how I hope these plans will not need to be put into action.
Our world might seem big, but it’s getting smaller every day, which means this war is getting closer, and it’s time to pick a side because soon there will be no place to hide.
