Moscow, the capital of Russia, came under mass drone attack, the city mayor Sergey Sobyanin wrote on his Telegram on Oct. 26.
Updated 7:53 a.m.: Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed that overnight into Oct. 27, air defense “destroyed” 193 Ukrainian drones, 40 of them over Moscow Oblast. The Kremlin ministry’s report says it “intercepted” 34 UAVs that “were inbound.”
According to the statement, the largest number of drones (47) were allegedly shot down over Bryansk Oblast, 42 over Kaluga Oblast, 32 over Tula Oblast, and 10 over Kursk Oblast. Drones were also recorded over eight other Russian oblasts.
Updated at 3:18 a.m.: Mayor Sobyanin claimed that Russian air defenses have allegedly shot down nearly 30 more drones that attacked the capital of the aggressor country.
According to the Russian Telegram channel SHOT, explosions were heard in the Ramensky District, Podolsk, Klimovsk, Domodedovo, Kolomna and Troitsk.
