From: Ira Kapitonova in Kyiv (Day 1352)
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;
for the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish.
Psalm 1:5-6
This week has been pretty busy at school. Most of my days end with my falling asleep before I could even notice it.
However, there’s a story I saw several days ago, yet it has stayed in my mind since. A lady shared a picture of sunflowers sent to her by her husband. He’s on the frontline and he was in a position for 23 days. For him, it means 23 days under constant fire and risk, with little to no sleep. For her, it means 23 days of not having any contact with him, not even knowing if he’s alive. If it’s not living by faith, then give it a better definition. When he was finally able to return from his position, he picked up these sunflowers on his way and mailed them to her. What can be more precious?
This story is extremely beautiful and extremely awful on so many levels! Please pray for every person defending Ukraine on the vital frontline positions and for their loved ones whose lives often feel as if in suspended animation as they wait and pray.
One response to “11/7/2025 — “Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment….””
These stories of hope and love are so precious to hear. With continued prayers. Laurie
