Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness!
You have given me relief when I was in distress.
Be gracious to me and hear my prayer!
Psalm 4:1

Last night, I collapsed with an unbearable headache after a long week. I barely remember getting into my bed or grabbing my pillow and moving to the hallway mattress in the middle of the night. That’s why I was surprised this morning to read the aftermath of the attack — 458 drones and 45 missiles (including 13 ballistic missiles) attacked Ukraine last night. They were targeting our energy infrastructure. Someone reported that several drones and missiles were hitting a single location every minute. All of that is to make civilians suffer and lose heart. But we’re determined, and even though the winter will be harsh, we will not give up.

Our apartment building had no electricity for almost 8 hours at night and then another 4 hours in the evening. For tomorrow, we’re scheduled to have electricity during two slots of the day for a total of 12 hours. And our schedule is not the worst! Several larger and smaller cities, such as Kharkiv and Poltava, are in a complete blackout with no definite answers. The city of Dnipro was attacked with drones and missiles, one of the drones hitting an apartment building.

I’m not sure I’m even angry anymore. Just tiredly keep hoping for God’s justice and His divine judgment.
