The second stage involves economic and political pressure with the threat of a new invasion. In the third stage, Ukraine must enter Russia’s orbit, like Belarus.
The publication also writes that this winter could be decisive. Russia is producing a record number of missiles, and Ukraine’s energy system is struggling to cope. Kyiv is left without electricity, and heating is intermittent. If Russia accelerates its successes, it may seek to force Ukraine into submission in 2026.
