From: Ira Kapitonova Day 1366
You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Psalm 16:11
During dark times, after the terrorist attack on Ternopil and Lviv, after very few hours of electricity a day, God still shows up if we’re ready to see Him.
While clearing up the rubble in Ternopil, the rescue workers found a cage with an unharmed parrot. I couldn’t help but wonder about the fragility of the bird and the cage, but they were unaffected when the walls collapsed. It reminded me of Psalm 91, one of the most common prayers among the soldiers on the frontline. May they be spared and find refuge under His wings.
Another incredible story is of a 20-year-old man who spent over 10 hours under the rubble yet remains alive. He’s in the hospital now, but he was well aware of everything and calmly waited to be found.
These small things remind me that God hasn’t abandoned us. He is with us, and He is fighting for us. He is the victorious King, the Sovereign Lord of Hosts, so may his enemies tremble when the cup of His wrath gets filled to the brim.
