From: Ira Kapitonova Day 1376
Vindicate me, O Lord,
for I have walked in my integrity,
and I have trusted in the Lord without wavering.
Psalm 26:1
The Ukrainian delegation met the US officials in Florida for the next round of negotiations. It’s unclear how it went, but it’s surreal to read about “peace negotiations” while receiving a notification about the high possibility of another massive attack within the next 3 days.
Ukraine keeps attacking valid military targets, including russian fuel infrastructure. Today, Kazakhstan sent a note protesting an attack on a specific port that is of importance to its economy. Interestingly, Kazakhstan had nothing to say after several massive attacks on Ukraine over the past couple of weeks, when people were killed and houses were destroyed, but got very concerned when it came to its money.
After last night’s attack on the Kyiv region, they found a drone stuck on the roof of one of the apartment buildings in Vyshhorod (a northern suburb of Kyiv). The drone hadn’t exploded, and when the special unit came, they found that it was packed with cluster munitions to maximize the damage. The munitions detonate on impact, so they could explode any minute, but thankfully, they were safely removed. It is small stories like this one that remind us that God hasn’t abandoned us and He still fights and intervenes on our behalf.
I came across a quote by Benjamin Franklin, which said: “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.” I hope this quote echoes in the minds of those conducting negotiations or sending notes of protest in hopes of a return to “business-as-usual” with bloodthirsty russia. Because russia’s target is not the eastern regions of Ukraine. Its goal is all of Ukraine, but even it comes with a greater goal of dominion over all of Europe. So we continue to pray for a just end to this war and for russia to stop being a threat to Ukraine or any other country in the world.
