From Pastor’s wife in Odessa to Ukrainian friends who escaped: “More and more I see photos in the news feed of smiling people who left. Okay, you went, and that’s good. There is enough panic here. We are honestly happy for everyone who is safe now. There will be someone to rebuild the country then, if the majority die here. But please for the sake of those who stayed, don’t put your smiling face and write under it how it hurts you. Post a photo of Kharkiv (Freedom Square in Kharkiv pictured above after missile strike), Kiev, Okhtyrki; it will be more logical and relevant than your smiling face. Thank you.”

For pastors and flocks choosing to remain:
Ps 60- “…You, God, have made the earth tremble..heal the breaches, for it shakes. You have made Your people see hard things, You have made them drink the wine of astonishment. You have given a banner to them that fear You…Give us help from trouble, for vain is the help of man. Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He Who will tread down our enemies.”

Psalm 62- Truly, my soul waits for God alone. He only is my rock and my defense– I shall not be shaken.
