From Lxxx (Day 15):

Dear friends,

After a quiet night we have a distressed morning because we turn on the news and see what is happening.

Russian army can’t move on the land. They still do it but very slowly because our army successfully resists the enemy and destroy their units. It makes their evil king really angry and he decided to destroy everything he can. This night there was an intensive bombing of Nikolayev the city which is 140 km from Odessa. Small cities around Kiev are occupied and robbed. The people there are hostages. They stay in basements without food and water. More and more civil people are killed.

In our church we have some members who joined us in 2014 when the war started in the east of Ukraine. They had to leave their homes escaping from Russian bombs and come south. They know very well how it feels when Russians come to your city.

We thank God for every peaceful day in our area. We will continue our work today to support our army and help people around.

Please, pray for Ukrainian people who are in the places controlled by the enemy. Pray for the possibility for them to go to the place where they can get help.

Please, pray for our army, for our soldiers to be strong and push away the enemy.

Please, pray for us to do what God wants us to do on our land.

Love in Christ,

Sxxx and Lxxx

  1. Our Father in heaven,

    Deliver us from evil
Give us today our daily bread
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us
Hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as in heaven
For Thine is the kingdom, power and glory now and forever

  4. Tonight my husband and I read Psalm 8 for our night-time devotions. My prayer for his people in Ukraine is from verse 2: Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. We pray that the might of the enemy may be stilled. We pray that the name of the Lord will be a strong tower to all who call upon Him. May He give His angels charge over you all to keep you in all your ways. May He give strength to the weary, and courage and faith in the measure that is needed. May the plans of the enemy be defeated and may the Lord be a shield to the righteous in Him. May He protect the innocent and deliver them.

  6. “Who shall seperate us from the love of Christ? Hardship, persecution, famine, nakedness, the sword– in all these we are more than conquerers through Him Who loved us. I [Paul the apostle] am convinced that not death, life, powers, rulers, things present or to come, highs, depths, anything in all creation can seperate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

  7. Ps 138 …though the LORD be high, yet He has repect unto the lowly, but the proud He knows afar off. Though I walk in the midst of trouble, the LORD will revive me. Thou shall stretch forth Thy hand against the wrath of my enemies and Thy right hand shall save me. The LORD will perfect that which concerns me: Thy mercy, O LORD, endures forever. Forsake not the works of Thy own hands!
