3-25-2022 – Belgorod Dnestrovsky

From Lxxx (Day 30):

Dear brothers and sisters,

Thank you for your faithfulness in prayer. We see the work of God done by the prayers of people.

Today is my mother’s birthday. Her name is Kxxx and she is 80 today. She was born in a Ukrainian village in 1942 when her father was in the army fighting the Nazi. My mother doesn’t remember the war but she remembers the time after WWII when they had very little food. We will make a little party for her today.

I want to share a story of a woman who was able to live Mariupol on evacuation bus few days ago.
“ On the evacuation bus there was a woman with four children. She is a teacher. And only one of four is her own. The second is her nephew, her sister’s child. The sister herself went out one day from the bomb shelter either for water or for food and did not return. The third child is the son of her neighbors. His parents died, and he was noticed in the ruins of a neighbor’s house and taken to their basement. She saw the fourth child when she ran with the first three to the evacuation bus. He was sitting on the ground next to his dead parents. She grabbed him with the backpack, because she thought that there must be documents. So it was. They left miraculously. The bus that followed them was shot. At the border she was asked for the permission to take children out of the country but she didn’t have any permissions for three other kids. They let her cross the border and she is in Hungary now.

There are so many stories like this, we hear them every day. Please, pray for God to protect the people in war zones and work in their hearts.

In Christ,
Lxxx

  1. Thank you for this update, Brother L. You and others in Ukraine are in my thoughts and prayers daily. « May the Lord bless you and keep you, make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you, lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. »

  2. Happy birthday to your mother! I am praying that your father is starting to regain his strength. I will be praying for this dear woman who is caring for these orphan children as her own. I also am praying for your counseling center. That God will give the counselors wisdom and the right words to encourage and heal the hurt and the lost. I pray that God, our Great Physician, would heal the hearts of the Ukrainian people and that they would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. I wanted to share the words to a song That is written and sung by a young woman named Katy Nicole that I thought would be encouraging to your counselors.
“I speak the name of Jesus over you
In your hurting, in your sorrow
I will ask my God to move
I speak the name ’cause it’s all that I can do
    In desperation, I’ll seek Heaven
    And pray this for you
    I pray for your healing
    That circumstances would change
I pray that the fear inside would flee in Jesus name
I pray that a breakthrough would happen today
I pray miracles over your life in Jesus name
    In Jesus name
I speak the name of all authority
    Declaring blessings, every promise
    He is faithful to keep
I speak the name no grave could ever hold
He is greater, He is stronger
    He’s the God of possible
    I pray for your healing
    That circumstances would change
I pray that the fear inside would flee in Jesus name
I pray that a breakthrough would happen today
I pray miracles over your life in Jesus name
    In Jesus name
    Come believe it
    Come receive it
Oh, the power of His Spirit is now forever yours
    Come believe it
    Come receive it
In the mighty name of Jesus, all things are possible
    I pray for your healing
    That circumstances will change
I pray that the fear inside will flee in Jesus name
    I pray that a breakthrough
    Would happen today
I pray miracles over your life in Jesus name
    I pray for revival
    For restoration of faith
I pray that the dead will come alive in Jesus name
    In Jesus name

  3. Matt. 28- Jesus said “All authority in heaven and earth has bern given to Me….Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world.”

Ps 146 “…the LORD preserves the strangers. He relieves the fatherless and widow, but the way of the wicked He turns upside-down. The LORD shall reign forever, your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the LORD!”

  4. I am persisting in fervent prayer for you and Ukrainian people, each and every day. (Consider yourself Moses and all your brothers and sisters reading these updates – Aaron – holding up your arm.) I’m also recalling the prayer of Habakkuk found in chapter 3 (to the choirmaster with stringed instruments), as I focus on verses 17-19.

“I will glory in my Redeemer
My life He bought, my love He owns
I have no longings for another
    I’m satisfied in Him alone
I will glory in my Redeemer
    His faithfulness my standing place
Though foes are mighty and rush upon me
My feet are firm, held by His grace
My feet are firm, held by His grace.”

(Verse 2 of “I Will Glory in My Redeemer” written by Steve and Vikki Cook)
