3/26/2022 – Belgorod Dnestrovsky

From Lxxx (Day 31): Dear brothers and sisters, We thank you for your prayers and for your support. Yesterday Sxxxx was invited to the draft office in our town. They form a group of doctors that can work in hospitals. Sxxxx was told to be ready to go any minute when he is called.

We have established good relations with a family of refugees in our church. They want to help. Yesterday Sxxx joined our ladies in the church who cook for the soldiers and Axxxx offered transportation by his car and traveled to Odessa with our ladies to bring some stuff we need. Now we know more about their needs and can help them.

Yesterday it was a quiet day without air alarms but in the evening it happened and we could hear a loud noise of explosion, later we found out that the rockets were destroyed in the air by our air defense. It was so close, almost above our heads.

Our son asks to pray for his colleague, whose name is Rxxxx. He stayed in Mariupol with his family ( his wife and 1-year-old son). They tried to get out of the city walking many kilometers through shelling and bombardment. He saw people who were walking next to him fall and never get up. At some point they were stopped by the detachment of Russians and forced to get on a bus. They were taken to the occupied territory, he was able to write a message from there telling that there is a plan to take them to Russia. Please, pray for the people who are taken to Russian against there will.

I talked to Victor, the director of our Christian medical clinic. In addition to the guest rooms in our church we plan to settle refugees in the building of our clinic and we discussed the things we can improve there to make the stay of people more comfortable. Today we all plan to work to bring the victory close.

“Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior.” Habakkuk 3:17-19 In Christ, Lxxxx

  4. We pray for each of you, for God’s protection and provision. We ask God to thwart the enemy’s plans and deliver His people. We especially pray for continued protection from the bombs, and for others such as your son’s colleague those fleeing Mariopol and other cities, to come to faith, to find peace and to be rescued from the oppression. In Jesus’ Name. Amen

  5. My heart is breaking for your son’s friend and I pray he and his family will be protected from evil. And I praise God for the success of the air defense in your town. May our Lord protect Sxxxx and the doctors who will go when called and give them courage and healing hands. May your efforts to help refugees be successful at the church and the clinic. May your courage and faithfulness continue and may He give all of you His comfort and peace.
