4/20/2022 – Angels of L’viv

Angels come in all kinds of forms.  The author of Hebrews says, “Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.”  In L’viv, the angelic names are Ruslan and Vika.  Ruslan is from L’viv and part of the L’viv church.  Vika, is now in L’viv, but originally was in the eastern city of Kharkiv.

Vika and Ruslan

Both are doing what they can to help those further to the east that have received the brunt of Russia’s brutal attempt to exterminate the Ukrainian people.  Supplies are sorely needed in the east.  Many world-wide have given money to the MTW Crisis Fund (https://voice-of-ukraine.com/finances-and-donation/) and supplies have been purchased in Krakow, Poland, and carried to L’viv via caravans.  Other supplies have come from churches in Europe.  Medical supplies have already been supplied by larger corporations to Krakow and then brought to L’viv and distributed to hospitals.

When supplies arrive in L’viv, they are sorted and labeled.  We understand also that Vika and Ruslan have put scripture verses on boxes and bags to bring comfort not only to the body, but to the soul.

Since Vika is from Kharkiv, these supplies are being prepared to be taken in vans to bring to Kharkiv where other ‘angels’ distribute supplies.

As the war evolves, so also will the needs. The churches and those pastors and members who have remained in Ukraine, are vital points of distribution for supplies coming in from the West. Angels come in all kinds of forms touching lives that have experienced the traumas of war. Pray for these angels and for those to whom they minister.

  1. Blessed be Ruslan and Vika. They know the meaning of Matthew 6:19-21: “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” I will be praying for God’s hand to be on R & V – that they will experience the truth of Deuteronomy 31:8 “It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

  2. Ruslan and Vika are angels of the Lord, who provide for the needs of the refugees in L’viv. They are the light in war torn Ukraine. May the Lord guard their steps.
