From Lxxx (Day 65): Dear brothers and sisters, A new day has come and we do not know what changes it will bring to us. Yesterday, Russian news again talked about the “liberation” of Nikolayev and Odessa. They even mentioned the names of some Odessa Streets.
Russian ships approached the coast and shelled Odessa and the beaches around, we could hear explosions and the sounds of planes flying above.
It’s hard to get to our town now. The only road that leads to us is very busy. Yesterday it took five hours for people who live on the coast to come to our town because of a terrible traffic jam. We hope there won’t be shooting of the road.
The refugees here have a higher level of anxiety in comparison to local people because they have already experienced the escalation and are afraid that the situation can become worse. We hope it won’t.
We plan to organize more support groups and through them do individual work with the refugees. We see the need.
Rxxxx works with the family of refugees that came to Odessa last week. Yesterday he took them shopping and could serve their needs as he spent time with them.
Please, pray for Rxxxx’s wife, Txxx. She works in intensive care unit of Odessa hospital. They have many patients now, a lot of wounded people. It’s very hard for her emotionally. She comes home exhausted.
Please, pray for the protection of Odessa area and for the liberation of other territories of our country. Please, pray for our soldiers and for our churches to be strong and be able to fight with our physical and spiritual enemy.
