From Lxxx (Day 83): Dear brothers and sisters, One of the peculiarities of the war is fast turn of events. Everything can change in a second. Our quiet and peaceful weekend changed with terror Monday morning when a bomb destroyed a beach hotel right next to the building of Pxxxx and Kxxx Mxxxxxxxx, the family of our church who serve the Lord with their property. It’s a miracle that nobody died in the ruined building, some people who stayed there were badly injured including a 6-year-old child. Pxxxx and Kxxx’s building was shaken by the blast wave to such an extent that the windows were broken and the doors were kicked out. Their beach house was always open for our church events. Every spring we organized women’s retreats for the women from the churches all over Ukraine, we had different conferences and meetings there. Their place is so dear for us all. We thank God that Pxxxx and Kxxx are not injured and that their building was not badly destroyed.
Our soup kitchen in Odessa continues its work on Saturdays. Last Saturday they served pilaf there. It was a good and peaceful day and the people who came could spend some time there and talk. Vxxx with the volunteers from her church makes plans. They think that more and more people will come and they hope to organize a group that will meet regularly.
Yesterday our counselors met in Zoom for prayer and we spent some time discussing a difficult case one of our counselors had. We meet this way almost every day to pray, study and support each other. We are looking forward to the seminar we are going to have this evening. God has extended the limits of our ministry and we need to grow professionally to be able to serve many people. Please, pray for our ministry and for the protection of Odessa area.
In Christ, Lxxx
