5/23/2022 – Belogorod Dnestrovsky

From Lxxx (Day 91): Dear brothers and sisters, Again and again I thank you for your prayer support, for your encouraging messages. Today is a birthday of our youngest granddaughter Vxxx, she is four. This girl brought us so much joy, love and tenderness. Every evening we talk and when she sees us, she hugs the monitor of the laptop.

We had a good day yesterday, we worshiped the Lord and had communion. I teach Sunday school for children this month and there was a new girl Exxx in our class. When the class was over I met her grandmother she came with and found out that they are refugees, they were invited to the church when they were receiving help. I talked to that lady and invited her to join the support group. It’s so nice to see more and more new people in the church. Another lady, I talked to was Mxxx. She is Jewish she was attending Messianic Jewish church. But their pastor left and the church stopped meeting, so she is looking for the church. I hope the sermon touched her heart and she will come again.

Pxxxx and Kxxx, the family that lives on the other side of a ruined bridge made a long way to come to the church. We were happy to see them. Their building was damaged (doors, windows and the roof) but they are glad that these are the things they can repair when the war ends.

We don’t know much about little Sasha, who is in Odessa hospital now, her family doesn’t share the information about her state. We heard that she lost some fingers and a heel bone. We hope she is getting better. Please, pray for Sasha and for other children who were wounded in this war.

In Christ, Lxxx

  1. Coming together to worship our God and share communion always brings us joy. Teaching children’s Sunday school is one of my favorite ways to serve God and our church family.

  4. Dear Lxxxx, your words about Sasha and all the hurting children of Ukraine remind me of Jesus and his tender heart for children. “Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.” Mark‬ ‭10:15-16‬ ‭ Praying long and deeply knowing that our Father cherishes each one. May He lead them through this valley of shadow and heal all the wounds we can see and those that are hidden. ❤️🙏🏼❤️
