Lxxx (Day 101): Dear brothers and sisters, It’s a nice morning and when I open the window I hear the birds singing. It’s nice to hear birds and not sirens. Yesterday evening we heard sirens several times. We remind each other all the time that when we hear sirens warning us of air attack and no explosions follow we should be thankful for it and not take it for granted.
We pray for our counselors Vxxx and Rxxxx today, who travel today. Roman went to Western Ukraine to work with chaplains who come from the war zones. And Vxxx is making one day trip to Nikolaev region to the place with severe destructions. She goes with a team of doctors and psychologists to help the local people there. It’s very close to the war zone, we need to pray for their safety.
Yesterday during our church prayer time we prayed for the people on the occupied territories. People who stay there live in a constant danger. They can be arrested , tortured and killed any time, their houses can be robbed. For some people the only way to get food and survive is to work for the occupants. There are people who refuse to do it and try to survive somehow alone, some people give in. But it’s amazing to hear about resistance and guerrilla groups that bravely act behind the enemy lines destroying the enemy, their vehicles and their military technique. We pray for soon liberation of our territories.
I am translating a diary of a woman who went through occupation, I will share it when I finish.
Sxxxx told me about his conversations with some people he had this week. There were several people who struggle with disappointment. They are active people who work hard but are upset with the attitude of other people they work with or with some situation they get into. It’s hard when people who are disappointed are not in the church because they need support, help and prayers of people around.
Yesterday we bought food and made food packets. We notice the prices for food in our stores go up, it means people can buy less food now and our help is very important for them. Today we are going to distribute these packets to the refugees we work with.
Again and again we thank you for your prayers and donations. May God bless you!
