6/6/2022 – Belgorod Dnestrovsky

From Lxxx (Day 103): Dear brothers and sisters, We had a good day yesterday, we enjoyed the worship and the fellowship afterwards. The sermon was about the sovereignty of God based on the story of Nebuchadnezzar from the book of Daniel. There are many parallels with the present days. A new lady, Mxxx, has a lot of questions. She used to attend Messianic Jewish church but when the war began almost all congregation left and the church stopped meeting.

Oxxx at church

Oxxx, a refugee from Nikolaev, has been in our town for about a month. She comes to the church with her little granddaughter. After the worship she asked what she can read to be prepared for the next sermon next Sunday. We showed her the section in the church bulletin with the scriptures for a week. Oxxx received a food packet and was very thankful.

Pentecostal church had a worship in our sanctuary after us yesterday. They rented a place for worship before but can’t do it now, so their pastor asked if they can worship in our building. Our pianist, Sxxx, stayed for their worship to play when she found out that their musician could not be at the worship. The girls from our youth group also decided to stay and help them to learn how our sound system works. We have good relations with this church. We cross paths when we do ministry for children. Their children attend our camps and our children go to their Bible club.

Thank you for praying for our counselor Vxxx, who traveled to Nilolaev region on Saturday. They had a good trip, there were no bombing and they could work with people during the day.

Sxxxx and I had a bicycle ride to the river bay in the evening. It was nice to be near the water especially now when we can’t go to the sea. We wish you a good week!

In Christ,
